Easter in Cornwall

May 1, 2017

Oh my, it’s been a while since I’ve posted something on this ol’ thing, hasn’t it? But fear not, for I have finally gotten my act together and returned with something I’ve been meaning to upload for a while now.

Last month I spent the long Easter weekend in Falmouth, a little town on the south coast of Cornwall. For the 20 years that I’ve lived in the UK, it’s surprising to think that I have never really ventured outside the vicinity of London, so I wasn’t sure what to expect or what adventures laid ahead of me. I surely didn’t expect jaw-dropping landscapes, golden sandy beaches and bright blue waters!
I must admit, for the majority of the time I spent there, I was overcome with the urge to belt out ‘The Hills Are Alive’ (from The Sound of Music) whilst spinning in circles and deeply inhaling the fresh sea air (thankfully though, my sister misplaced the footage of that)!

*Please scroll down for scenic coastlines, meandering forest pathways, quaint thatched-roofed cottages, precarious cliff faces and bobbing sailboats (food is guaranteed, of course).

Those three days away definitely opened my eyes to a part of England that I’d never known before and I’m sure I’ll be going back for more adventurous fun in the near future.

I hope to be uploading posts more frequently from now on, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled over the next few weeks for the next one!
